SOUTH CAROLINA COUNTY GOP CENSURES SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM

By: Joshua Cook

Tonight at the regular monthly meeting of the Chesterfield County Republican Party, members utilized a roll call vote to pass a 29-point resolution in favor of censuring one of the current United States Senators from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham.

The yeas carried the evening with 98% of the vote. This reflects the continued frustration of many in the party with officials who are elected as Republicans and then seem to forget the doctrine of the party when they assume office.

“The Chesterfield County Republican Party upholds traditional conservative Republican principles and we expect those who are elected under its banner to also adhere to this same standard,” Chesterfield County Republican Party Executive Committeeman Glenn Gulledge proclaimed. “Lindsey Graham has committed a long series of actions that we strongly disapprove of and hold to be fundamentally inconsistent with the principles of the South Carolina Republican Party. The 29 points documented in this censure clearly illustrate this trend and make it clear that he is not consistently representing some of our most valued, time-honored tenets.”

grahah censured

In accordance with the seriousness of this vote, nearly every member of the Chesterfield County GOP was in attendance or represented by proxy. The Censure Resolution, as passed, covers a multitude of well-documented instances of Senator Graham’s cavalier disregard for fundamental, Republican values. A few of the points of contention are:

  • Senator Graham’s attempt to reward those who break the laws of our country with amnesty.
  • The continued support the Senator offers in the arming of elements of Al Qaida, sworn enemies of the United States, in the Middle East.
  • His belief that government spying on American citizens without due process is an acceptable practice.
  • The disregard he showed for other Republicans in their attempt to prevent further erosion of our Second Amendment rights.

The members of the CCGOP hope that by taking this action, Senator Graham will realize those who are elected as Republicans can and will be held accountable for their actions. Chairman Jack Parker offered, “Mr. Graham has lost the confidence of this body in his ability to serve as our Senator representing the people of South Carolina in a manner consistent with our platform. We know that a significant number of members of the South Carolina Republican Party across the state feel the same way, and we expect to see more actions, like we have taken, to continue at future county meetings.”

The Chesterfield County GOP is dedicated to the conservative tenets of the Republican Party, which include fiscal responsibility, personal freedom and protecting both the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

“…the conservative tenants of the Republican Party, which include fiscal responsibility, personal freedom and protecting the Constitution and Bill of Rights”??? Since when?
    1) The R’s spend at least as much as the D’s, which means more borrowing, printing, AND taking more of the fruits of an individual’s labor which undermines personal freedom and liberty.
    2) I believe that all but 7 who voted on the NDAA voted YES, including those with an R behind the name. This is Protecting freedom, the Constitution and Bill of Rights?
More people need take a look at actual voting records of those with R’s and D’s behind the name on an assortment of bills voted on and passed over a period of years, or even decades. There is not much difference between these silly letters.

No one in Washington knows or cares what individual liberty means. The whole thing’s a farce, and we’d be better off without them.

    • LeTronk

The tenants of the party and the actions of the elected officials are
not the same. If several high ranking members of the Boy Scouts
embezzled a bunch of funds, you wouldn’t say that the tenants of Boy
      Scouts of America include embezzlement.

Personally, I’m glad to see the members of the Republican Party starting to stand up to their elected officials and actually hold them accountable for their actions.

      • Stacey

Yes, just don’t let ‘em fool you, LeTronk. Real conservatives need to see a whole lot more action and a whole lot less talk about and movement toward fiscal responsibility, the constitution, rights, and liberty. It means they all have to risk everything, right now, to challenge the status quo.
But I don’t see that happening in my lifetime, if ever. The MIC has all the power and has taken over. We were sold out long ago.

  • workingpoor

    Yea!

  • wialco

I’m not fond of the use or abuse of the acronym RINO, but it’s nice to see that some members of the Republican Party genuinely believe in what the party planks say. Seems as though this party has been wandering in the wilderness since Nixon, maybe they’re ready to come back to base.

  • BillRind

forget about upholding him, you should be recalling this fools folly years ago when he married himself to the hip of that other old man asshole McCain, the biggest traitor in the Republican party.

    • Average_Joe56

Unfortunately, the 22 Amendment prohibits a simple recall and it should be repealed. All they can do is try to vote him out with a special election. Before the 22 Amendment, Senators were appointed by the Governor of the state (not elected by popular vote)…and if they (senators) are doing things that they shouldn’t be doing, the Governor could simply recall them , fire them and replace them at the drop of a hat…boom…done deal! Being “elected” allows them to fight being fired…that needs to stop….and then….so will the shenanigans…..

      • Jacob Nyhart

Ummmm, Average_Joe56. The 22nd amendment is presidential term limits. I am guessing you mean the 17th amendment – but even then I’m not sure because Senators were never appointed by state’s governors. Prior to the 17th, Senators were actually elected by their state’s legislators. Governors have only had the authority to appoint Senators whenever there were vacancies to fill (ie, death, retirement, etc) until such time as a special election could be held.

        • Average_Joe56

You would be correct….sometimes the fingers move a bit faster than the brain….it’s one of those days………
          Excerpt from Team Law:

7th: Next (also 1913) Corp. U.S., through Congress, adopts (as if ratified) its 17th amendment. This amendment is not only not ratified, it is not constitutional; the nation’s Constitution forbids Congress from even discussing the matter of where Senators are elected, which is the subject matter of this amendment; therefore they cannot pass such and Act and then of their own volition, order it entered as ratified. According to the United States Supreme Court, for Congress to propose such an amendment they would first have to pass an amendment that gave them the authority to discuss the matter.

8th: Accordingly, in 1914, the Freshman class and all Senators that successfully ran for reelection in 1913 by popular vote were seated in Corp. U.S. Senate capacity only; their respective seats from their States remained vacant because neither the State Senates nor the State Governors appointed new Senators to replace them as is still required by the national Constitution for placement of a national Senator.
          I highly recommend teamlaw.org
I always suggest reading the “historical outline” which this is an excerpt from.

Lindsey Graham on the indefinite detention of “enemy combatants” (aka American citizens): “When they ask for a lawyer, you tell them to shut up!”

It’s a shame there isn’t an earlier remedy for the gross mistake of electing Lindsey Graham. It sickens me to think he’ll be misrepresenting South Carolina and selling out all Americans until 2016. There’s a good lesson in this. Stop voting for the corrupt self-serving RINOs foisted on you by the corrupt self-serving Republican Party establishment. Run a LiberTEA candidate in the primary and defeat these Big Government Republican incumbents. Put an end to The Two Parties That Are One.

Here in Kentucky, we elected Rand Paul in 2010. We elected Thomas Massie in 2012. We’re retiring Mitch McConnell in 2014! We should have done that a couple of decades ago. I hope Arizona retires Insane McCain in 2014 as well.

  • badman400

Graham MUST go! He is a traitor!

  • Joseph C. Carbone III

It is okay. Sen. Lindsey Graham has no concern one way nor the other.

Once he has done his job destroying America, he will simply move on to a very high-paying corporate job, continuing for whom he now works.

Sincerely, Joseph C. Carbone III; 13 August 2013

ONE senator big deal,Obama will pass a law puting the traitor right back in power and the republicrates won’t be able to do shit,IF they really want to do good for america,ARREST OBAMA FOR TREASON,and execute HIM ON NATIONAL TV,this gram, thing is just a DOG AND PONY SHOW,and thats all………..

    • Joseph C. Carbone III

Dog and pony show, exactly right…

    • col

Well, at least this group of people are doing something to let Senator Graham know that they are against what he has done. That’s better than sitting around on their asses doing nothing like so many other Republicans are doing. It may only be one senator but it’s a start.

  • davidmcsf

Don’t you mean the senator for Israel? He does put Israel first before anyone in North Carolina let alone the USSA

    • Chris Short

Not disagreeing at all, but he is a senator from SC. And we’re trying to get him out this time!

    • anna

      Davidmcsf,
Do you not like Jewish people? Where did you learn that? If I were you, I would throw that opinion out. It sounds very racist. In other words, you are making a blanket opinion of a race of people. That’s not good.

      • billy woods

JEWISH! IT IS NOT A RACE OF PEOPLE. IT IS A RELIGION.

        • Currahee101st

          Screw the juice.

      • Maj. William Martin

This has nothing to do with Jewish people. It is about Israeli foreign policy. It is OK to bash our Government for its foreign policy but to even mention Israel’s is supposed to be anti-Semitic?

Your claims of Racism should be used as IDF soldiers wear T-Shirts depicting pregnant Palestinian women with the caption, “One Shot.. Two Kill’s.” That is Racism!.

Israel today is everything PLUS that they alleged Germany was. Miles and miles of Prison walls, Razor wire, Guard towers i.e. Sniper Pens to Shoot Children, Buses and Roads for “Jew’s Only”, Check Point’s and of course Papers! Where Travel is restricted and pregnant Palestinian woman give birth in the dirt and the babies die.

        Who’s Racist?

There is a loose coalition between Neocons and Democrats:

Neocons and Democrats both want to usher in the New World Order.

Neocons and Democrats want mass immigration from third world nations, gun control, spying on American citizens, global taxation, endless Wars and total control over speech, health and even the internet.

Please call your Senators and Congressman; tell them to stand with Mike Lee, Justin Amash, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

Tell them to: Stand for Liberty

Tell them to: Stand for our Constitution

And now he is supporting the Muslim Brother by flying to Egypt to personally request the key imprisoned leaders be released.

Should be investigated? Is he being paid off?

    • Maj. William Martin

Remember, the WTC 1993 bombing was of the Muslim Brotherhood. Whereas today the US is still holding the Blind Sheik for that. Though like all US Domestic Terrorism it is funded by our own FBI.

If you research the link of the CIA to USAID and the countless killed in operations like this as they CIA is trying to move their Muslim PAID extremist’s now into Russia and that is why after contacting the FBI about the alleged Boston Bombers and their ties to the CIA and USAID that Russia gave the BOOT to USAID. Bolivia followed suit.

If you’d like to review a good documentary? John Pilger’s “War on Democracy” is it. The US has since the Korean War killed over 10,000,000 people directly of by its proxy dictators installed. This is why WE as a People are hated. Not because of alleged “Freedom’s” that we are loosing daily as Tyranny setups more and more and our Israeli trained Police State.

As mentioned above to John, US Sanctions cost Billions of lost dollars in trade revenue and countless Millions of US Job’s producing those Exports. So today we export 3 items.
      1. Job’s.
      2. Arms.
      3. WARS
Our entire economy is based on Arms and Wars.
You might also review, “All wars are Banking Wars” by Michael Rivero. It is a good crash course in our history and why 120,000,000 people have died. Now we have WWIII at out door step knocking in Syria.

      Have a good week.

  • john

These people are apparently under extreme pressure of arm twisting or duress by NWO/WH to do what they are told. This is not what or who these people really are. They are being instructed to carry out and promote these agendas by a higher power or face the consequences. I will leave that to your imagination. Mine says anything is possible, maybe it’s just me but I will tell you that someone that was a prisoner of war for 5 years like John McCain isn’t likely to cave into political threats. And as far as monetary incentives, personally I dismiss this motive outright because they all are rich. . It has to be more something more severe. People don’t just change their moral compass at the drop of a pin. I consider this very serious and when we find out we won’t be surprised as to why they reacted like this.
Don’t get me wrong they still need to be censored impeached or whatever but we are being blindsided with this kind of insanity for a reason. can anyone else see this as a probable reason these things are happening? If not then what is it??

    • Maj. William Martin

      John,
The problem we are faced with is that elected official’s are elected to represent “We the People” and not the State of Israel. You might research how John McQaeda McCain’s Father was also a stooge for Israel and covered up the attack on the USS Liberty by Israel.

The influence of AIRPAC was truly shown when the party went against Chuck Hagel for his saying, “I am a US Senator not an Israeli Senator.” We can see how he was broken on his stand for supporting his country.

This current action against Syria should shock any American. 12 years of wars fighting Al Qaeda where your tax dollars now arm and fund Al Qaeda. So much that the US Military wont break contract’s with Al Qaeda citing ‘Due Process’ rights of those affiliated with Al Qaeda.

Another Middle East war only benefit’s Israel who is a illegal recipient of US foreign aid for its rogue nuclear program in which they now also are arming Sub’s with nuclear tipped warheads. Israel refuses any and all inspection as well as flat refuses to sign the NPT like others have including Iran who’s energy program was given to them by the USA in 1954. Also who has passed all “Check Points” of the IAEA.

Netanyahu refill’s his Acme Marker with the blood of American boys to like a child does, continually draw outside the lines of the Middle East coloring book drawing red lines while in violation themselves.

      You might also research

Israel’s GDP and see that for a population of 7,755,000 Israel can support themselves. So. Korea’s Air Missile defense is Israeli made. So why if Israel has a marketable defense system should American’s pay for the Iron Dome?

Let that sink in as our Cities go bankrupt, 47.8% on Food Stamp’s (Legally) only to hide the massive soup lines as less then half of American’s are working full time jobs and our Children can’t find employment. Add also to the illegal sanctions on Iran like that which murdered 500,000 in Iraq as they starved to death. The UN only counted from ages 0-5 and quit after two years.

You might also review YouTube video, “Netanyahu was wrong about Iraq’s WMDs.” Where Netanyahu repeatedly said, “We have indisputable Proof that Saddam is building WMDs and are the size of Washing machines.” This Lie cost 4,801 American lives, 40,000 head wounds, 160,001+ disabilities and of Jail’s are filing up with 750,000 PTSD cases as ex-Veteran’s SNAP after being sedated on SSRIs like is the case in all Domestic Shooting’s where the Shooters were on or coming off these SSRIs.

Israel has since 1948 warred with their neighbors and refuses to live by established International laws, waters, and IAEA (NPT) for having nuclear weapon’s. Israel bombs at will anyone they want under the premise of their security.

PREEMPTIVE: A man walks into a Catholic church and stab’s to death 5 Father’s in a preemptive move alleging that they the Fathers were going to some time in the future Sodomize his son. So he preemptively stopped them even though there was no guilt.

In closing, when you read daily of the horrible event’s unfolding in Japan with the Fukushima reactors and as 300+ Tons of radioactive waters flows into the Pacific poisoning all fish WE EAT. Remember Israel is trying to bomb Iran’s legal reactor that’s Active and this will not only spread radioactive Isotopes but Uranium that is legally produced across the entire Middle East in yet another Reactor that will go into Melt-Down.

If you think its horrible to watch Obama BOW to other world leaders, you should watch the annual AIRPAC meeting where our Politician’s pledge their lives and American lives to the State who refuses to abide by over 65 UN Resolutions and while screaming of Chemical’s in Syria itself bombs 100% Civilian’s in Gaza with White Phosphorus a… Chemical Weapon.

      Have a good week John.
      P.S. http://k7ktr.com/treason.html

      • Yukidongo

You are a bit fragmented, but one thing you have correct… Obama is backing Al Queda. Obama has backed Al Queda and the MB all over the Mid East, toppling legitimate regimes, and establishing Extremist ones. Then, he lost Egypt back to the people, who had said the MB stole the election in the first place, but the UN and BHO certified and congratulated the MB. Then, he threw in behind the extremists to overthrow a toothless, quiet old lion, in Libya. Extremists…not dictators are what he is setting up. Now, we know that the FSA(terrorists) released the Sarin gas in Syria, they have admitted it, and there are Syrian fim files showing them using it, and people that didn’t die saying it was them that shot it off! We have Obama, back in January of this year, 2013, “giving the green light to a chemical weapons launch in Syria, to draw foreign military into the war”. That was probably the only piece of news the mainstream has covered. So, we have a planned “false flag” in January, that happens to be completed in August, and now Obama is going to STRIKE the victims of the attack, while saying they used the chemicals! Crazy! Obama needs to be in prison for terrorism himself! NO ONE has done more for the forward progression of Islamic extremism than Barack H. Obama.

Good Job , Now to get the Florida GOP to do the same with Marco Rubio

  • Legatus legionis

Wow! Now that’s what I call standing up for your principles. Now, lets get more Republicans to do the same and just maybe we will have a party worth fighting for.

  • Yukidongo

Actually, if they had the support all over the state, like they think they do, why waste time voting on censuring? I don’t even understand how that even has any effect on the Senator. If they have the support, RECALL the fool! Send someone with the GOP values, that isn’t in step with McCain’s progressive republican nonsense (he called himself Progressive Republican), and in Obama’s pocket.

  • 2soon2b4got10

Count me in!! Tired of this RINO crapping all over our rights. Republican my arse! Another elitist ol’ guard that should have been discarded with the bath water. Time for the people of central and western SC get their heads outta their wazoo’s and start electing a REAL Conservative. Not this died-in-the-wool- moderate! We need more representatives like Tray Gowdy and less like Mark Sanford. The sooner we discard the likes of these UN-representatives, the better off this state will be. They’re in it just to stuff their pockets. Since when has Graham listened to what the people had to say?? Now he wants to pass this Amnesty Bill???? That should tell everyone that he just sold us out! By giving the Democrats 11 million new Democratic voters, he just sealed the fate of the GOP!! Throw the bum out before it’s too late!!

They cheated Ron Paul out of the nomination. I don’t see how anyone can call themselves a ‘Republican’ after that shameful, criminal act.

Graham is going to win. Hands down easy as cake. Sorry ya’ll. And why in F are you reading Ben Swann . com? This guy is a wackdoo like his cult leader Ron Paul. Stop smoking the cheeba people. ANY elected official is “establishment”. That goes for Ron Paul, Jim DeMint, Sarah Palin, and Bachmann when they served as it goes for Cruz and Paul now. ALL are establishment. Ron Paul is a racist scumbag. There is enough evidence to connect him with Anonymous, OWS, and Hamas. ALL are terrorist groups. With Anonymous attacks on US and Israeli websites, they have become enemy combatants. Ron Paul loons, like Larouche loons, were there at the start for OWS and Anonymous. If anyone honestly thinks Paul was a good elected official, aka establishment, you need to stop smoking dat c+ck. Ron Paul = Lyndon LaRouche. Ben Swann = sh+t journalist (well known fact – plus you can look up his ratings online for his show….his rating suck as bad as “the Judge”. His show was canceled on FOX Business because of crap rating and only Paulistinians watched his show)
